DOT Physicals
Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals are necessary for securing a license and assuring that a prospective driver has no pre-existing medical conditions that may hinder him or her from driving in a safe and responsible manner.
DOT physicals are conducted to meet the essential federal regulatory requirements of a particular state. These tests include the following prerequisites for the Department of Transportation:
- Review of a potential driver’s medical history
- A physical exam
- Issuance of a DOT medical card
